A year has passed

Proverbs 31:10-12 and 25-31
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

I'll tell you the city gate busted open with praise when my momma got there!

April Fool's Day will never be the same again. It's the anniversary of my mom's death. I can't believe its been a year! I won't go into how much I miss her. I know everyone is tired of hearing that. But I wanted everyone just to think about her today and remember what a wonderful woman she was and what a blessing she was to me and my sisters. I know she is at peace with our good Lord and knowing I will see her again one sweet day gives me comfort. To those of you who have lost your mother, you know the emptiness that is left behind. To those of you who are so fortunate to still have your mother, do me a favor, please. Even if you don't get along with your mom, even if you fight over the smallest things, even if you haven't talked to her in a really long time, call her. Call, or better yet, go see her today and tell her you love her, because you may never get the chance again. If your mom was gone tomorrow, would you have regrets? How important are the things that come between you? Just remember mothers are not perfect, they are human too. We only get one mother in this lifetime, don't take the time you have with yours for granted. I love you all and pray that you all have a mother that cherishes you and that you cherish back!

You could not have picked a more perfect verse karri! Your Mom was everything you said and more. I would love to have the desire to help others as she did. I know she is happy now. Imagine the world full of people like her??? It surely would be a much better place. I am proud to call her my family! I'm sorry for your sadness as I know she was a wonderful Mother also. Praying for the family. Love You!

What a blessing to have a Mom like that....I know because I have one too! And I treasure each day with her. If I don't stop by to see her I call her everyday. We don't know the outcome to Mom's situation, but God does, and that's all I need to know!

Thanks for reminding us just how precious life is! You bless my heart!

I never dreamed it would be has hard as it is without her. I think about her all the time. It is so hard to drive past her house and know I can't run in and say Hi, she was my second mother. Every time I am planning a Birthday Party or a Cookout I will think for a second "I have got to call Susie" then it hits..I cant...we all loved and miss her more than she could have ever known. But we just need to remember she will never be sick or have bad days again. She is HOME and we will see her again. Love you

I had forgotten it was on the first. I remember that my uncle drove by when it had happened and called to tell us something was going on and to pray. Since we are almost family through Junior I felt so bad for you. My mom and I are so close and I see her nearly twice every day. I think and pray for you often as I drive past their home every day on my way yo my mom's house.

Thank you for your truthful words. I live in Hunstville, Al., but I'm originally from Georgia. I left home at a very young age, as my husband is a pastor. We have only been near our home for about 7 years out of 32.

It's been hard, but God's grace is sufficient! At one time, I wasn't close to my mom. Over time, God closed the river between us. I don't know when it happened. The Lord somehow worked a miraculous transformation over a period of time.

I miss her very much, but we talk each day. She's a great lady and prays for her family constantly.

My heart is with you today in your grief. I know that one day I will likely walk this road, but I know that God's grace will carry me and give me strength.

Again, thank you for sharing your heart. Many blessings to you.

In Christ,

Andrea

Blessings,

Thank-you for the reminder!! My Mom calls every day and asks about my husband, the kids and myself. She tells me each day that she is praying for us all. I can't tell you how much I would miss those prayers if she was no longer present! She has heart complications and now has debilitating arthritis but she always has a smile and invites everyone from the church to stop by for coffee and a chat. She has a "minisrty" in the senior complex where she lives......praying and loving others. This is a real testimony to my 3 teenagers!! Thankyou for sharing about your Mother.......she obviously was a women who really loved the Lord Jesus and her family....what a testimony with long lasting impact.

Smiles,
Cindy
